The Village is taking significant strides towards energy independence and sustainability with the recent installation of a new solar system. This innovative project not only includes brand-new carports but also cleverly utilizes existing roof space to house a substantial 95kW solar array.What sets this installation apart is the strategic use of bi-facial solar panels. These advanced panels are designed to capture sunlight from both their front and back surfaces, maximizing energy generation. By harnessing the "bounce back" of sunlight from the surfaces below, such as the newly installed carports and surrounding ground, the system is able to produce even more clean electricity.The integration of new carports serves a dual purpose: providing sheltered parking for vehicles while simultaneously acting as a platform for additional solar capacity.With electricity costs on the rise, and a growing desire for energy security, this forward-thinking approach not only reduces reliance on the grid but also contributes to a greener future for the community.
